Montblanc Simplifies The Classically Beautiful Star Legacy Full Calendar

An irrefutably refined timepiece, the Montblanc Star Legacy Full Calendar takes its design codes from Minerva pocket watches of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Inspired by the invention of time itself, the Montblanc Star Legacy Full Calendar draws inspiration from the history of time measurement, from the oldest lunar calendar located in Scotland that dates back to 8000BC. to the Gregorian calendar developed in 1582 that is still used to this day.

Montblanc Simplifies The Classically Beautiful Star Legacy Full Calendar

The Star Legacy Full Calendar is one of the German luxury goods house’s best-selling timepieces. Now, it’s been given a user-friendly update, receiving a new movement that allows the calendar to be set using two pushers rather than the previous four. There’s also an improved power reserve of 50 hours and 50-metre water resistance. A wider moon phase aperture takes centre stage, while day and month apertures provide better legibility.

Introducing three new models into the range, each bears subtle differences. References MB128676 and MB128677 sport Roman numerals and blue leaf-shaped hands, while the MB128715 features rose gold-coated Arabic numerals and matching leaf-shaped hands. With its design codes rooted in the 165 years of Minerva heritage — Montblanc acquired Minerva in 2006 — the timepieces boast a distinctly traditional charm. Like the rest of the Star Legacy collection, historic details are present in the form of a railway track with dots, a filet sauté that runs around the periphery of the dial, a date hand with a red half-moon tip, and a Montblanc emblem on the counterweight of the second hand. The watchmaker’s exploding star guilloché pattern is also a nice touch.

Each of the three 42mm models comes with a stainless steel bracelet or a blue alligator leather strap with a semi-matte finish.
