Tyler, The Creator has long been known for exploring creative endeavours outside of the music realm, both through directorial stints and by way of his streetwear brand Golf Wang and its offshoot Le Fleur* (the name a reference to his album Flowerboy).
While Le Fleur* had previously sold an assortment of clothing and lifestyle items—think leather travel trunks, nail polish, branded pins, silk scarves—this marks the first time its founder has ventured into the homewares territory. In collaboration with homeware brand Parachute, Tyler, the Creator has launched a collection of bedding, cushions, and a pair of soft shearling slippers.
The Le Fleur* x Parachute collection takes shape in pastel-drenched hues, with soft yellow, blue, and green tones cultivating a serene, almost spa-like vibe. Highlights in the collection include linen bedding, an Alpaca wool throw, a shearling sphere pillow, and shearling slippers. The sphere pillow in particular is set to be a hit, with its pastel blue shade, tactile texture, and neotenous form sure to appeal to young millennial and Gen Z home decorators.
Each piece of bedding is crafted from soft European flax linen, which is designed to move with the body. Several of the monochromatic pieces—including the fitted sheets and pillow cases—are subtly adorned with the signature Le Fleur* camo print, which has been adapted to suit the pastel shades.
The collaboration marks the first time Parachute has branched out of its largely neutral colour palette; while the materials are characteristic of the homeware brand, the aesthetic is decidedly Le Fleur*.
“We definitely are stepping out of our comfort zone and our colour aesthetic to embrace the Le Fleur style, but we really do think that it will appeal to both the Le Fleur customer as well as the Parachute shopper,” Parachute founder and CEO Ariel Kaye told GQ ahead of the launch. “It’s colourful, it’s playful, it’s whimsical, it’s fun.”
