Brunello Cucinelli’s New Sydney Outpost Heralds A New Sartorial Era Down Under

While not typically thought of as a fashion capital, Australia’s sun-drenched climate and oceanic surrounds coupled with an inherently laidback attitude have played a role in shaping the country’s reputation for relaxed, effortless style. That sense of effortlessness is one shared by Brunello Cucinelli. Long before ‘quiet luxury’ went mainstream, the Italian luxury fashion house and its eponymous founder pioneered the art of louche yet refined dressing by way of sprezzatura, or, ‘studied nonchalance’.

Now, Brunello Cucinelli has opened its latest boutique at 25 Martin Place, Sydney, with the launch marking its first outpost in Australia. Launched in collaboration with luxury project development company Graaf Group, helmed by Gennaro Autore, the Brunello Cucinelli boutique holds court on Castlereagh Street and extends into the Martin Place open area. The expansive boutique is spread across two levels, partially visible from the street through the full-height façade windows; with the upper level housing the core Brunello Cucinelli collection.

The dramatic vista invites passersby within, with the boutique accessible through entrances on both the Martin Place and Castlereagh Street sides. Inside, the boutique takes on a light, airy tone reflective of the luxury fashion house’s signature warm neutral colour palette. Taking shape in soft tones of cream and tan, complemented by wooden and marble furniture and punctuated by metallic touches, Brunello Cucinelli’s Sydney boutique is befitting of the understated elegance present in its collections.

The Brunello Cucinelli Sydney boutique is located at Shop 7.12-7.14/25 Martin Place, Sydney, and is open seven days a week.
