The latest JW Anderson x Uniqlo Collection draws inspiration from an unlikely yet quintessentially British source: Peter Rabbit. Beatrix Potter’s The Tale Of Peter Rabbit provides a plethora of material for the cosy, whimsical collection with the titular rabbit and his cousin Benjamin Bunny printed across sweatshirts and t-shirts.

“For me, this collection was really about embracing the season,” explained designer Jonathan Anderson. “I wanted something that felt very autumnal in a way and that also felt quite like autumn in the British countryside. I wanted it to feel comfortable and worn. Almost cosy in a way.” Like many British children, Anderson grew up with Beatrix Potter novels, stating that they were “the first [books] I had. I think they’re very much a part of British culture.”
Indeed the new collection is laden with archetypal British countryside staples. Alongside the bunnies, tartan is aplenty, appearing on pyjamas, shirts, and blankets. Scarves, knitwear, socks, and padded jackets speak to countryside pursuits, while varsity pieces like rugby shirts evoke a sportier aesthetic.
The collection is available to explore and shop via the JW Anderson x Uniqlo webstore.
