Ralph Lauren is set to return as the official outfitter of the Australian Open after a standout debut this year that saw the iconic American fashion label seriously elevate the style game of the officials and ballkids. The addition of the Australian Open marked the third Grand Slam addition to Ralph Lauren’s portfolio, joining Wimbledon and the US Open. The renewed partnership will see Ralph Lauren design the outfits for all on-court officials, ballkids, and on-site staff.

“Ralph Lauren has defined a distinct sense of style for more than 50 years, and their fresh and modern style perspective is a perfect fit for the Australian Open,” said Craig Tiley, Australian Open tournament director. This year will also see Ralph Lauren design the official tournament towel and introduce a shoppable commemorative Australian Open capsule collection for the first time.

In line with the American fashion label’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, the Australian Open 2022 (AO22) uniforms will be made with sustainable materials and incorporate performance-enhancing features like stretch, moisture-wicking properties, and UV protection.

The accompanying commemorative collection features signature Ralph Lauren styles and silhouettes that take on a bold colour palette – think bright orange, navy blue, sky blue, and crisp white – inspired by the tournament’s energy and playful spirit. The range includes polo shirts, jackets, headwear, and accessories, and makes use of conscious materials like recycled polyester and nylon, and responsibly produced cotton. For a more personalised touch, the Ralph Lauren Create-Your-Own program will return on-site at AO22, offering customers the chance to purchase and customise a selection of Ralph Lauren styles with their name or initials, as well as specifically designed motifs incorporating Polo icons and AO22 exclusives. 

The Ralph Lauren Australian Open Collection will be available for purchase on-site designated pop-up stores, at Polo Ralph Lauren physical stores, and globally via the Ralph Lauren webstore.
