Whether it’s Gucci x The North Face, Puma x Maison Kitsune, or Prada x Adidas (or even Gucci x Adidas for that matter), the luxury fashion house-sportswear brand crossover is not a new concept. Honing in on running, the Loewe x On collaboration is set to make the sport a whole lot more fashionable. Less Lululemon and more trail-chic, the collaboration was designed with the great outdoors in mind, whether it be rural or urban.

Uniting both brand’s commitment to high quality, the Loewe x On capsule collection reimagines traditional craft skills through a contemporary lens, applying handmade principles to technical pieces. Central to the collection are the iconic On Cloudventure and Cloudrock performance silhouettes, which take on nature-inspired hues of Gradient Khaki, Gradient Grey, Gradient Blue, Gradient Orange, and Space Blue. Utilising On’s trademark technologies of the Missiongrip rubber sole and Speedboard midsole hidden plate, the aesthetic of the shoes take on a distinctly Loewe feel.
On the clothing side, the capsule comprises six ready-to-wear pieces for women and seven for men, with highlights including a waterproof anorak, running pants, performance t-shirts, and a customisable insulation three-layer parka. All come equipped with On’s signature technologies which are adapted to create pieces that withstand adverse weather conditions and work to regulate body temperature.
Again, the colourways draw inspiration from nature, with an organic palette of khaki, blue, and orange applied in a gradient effect which mimics clothing that’s experienced prolonged exposure to the elements. A Japanese sashiko-inspired needlework print also features across the collection, taking on the appearance of a starry night. To ensure the printed gradients are consistent across all aspects of each item, the finishing touches are performed by hand, as are the marble effect soles on each shoe.
