Stoic Swede Dolph Lundgren Stars In A Campaign For CDLP Mobilité Sportswear Capsule

About cdlp
Since its inception in 2016, Swedish luxury essential brand CDLP has carved out a name for itself as a purveyor of sustainable, elevated basics. Their silky smooth texture thanks to lyocell combined with understated contemporary cuts make CDLP worthy of pride of place in your underwear drawer.

Swedish luxury essentials house CDLP has launched a new sportswear capsule, comprising a curated range of essentials. Combining technical details with the label’s flair for elevated simplicity, CDLP Mobilité utilises organic, regenerated, and recycled materials. For the inaugural drop, CDLP has enlisted actor, director, producer, and martial artist – and fellow Swede – Dolph Lundgren to front the campaign, lensed by German photographer Jonas Unger.

CDLP Mobilité comprises two key elements; inner and outer layers. Inner base layers are designed for physical performance, featuring technical details like enhanced flexibility, mesh ventilation, and moisture-wicking, while outer layers cater to pre and post-workout wear, reinterpreting classic athletic gear in heavyweight fabrics with relaxed fits.

Made famous for his breakthrough role as Soviet boxer Ivan Drago in Rocky IV (1985), Lundgren has long been perceived as the “ultimate alpha male.” Over thirty years later, he’s slowly but surely shirking this reputation, with a focus on strengthening the mind and body alike. According to CDLP, artistic director Christian Larson “was drawn to Lundgren for his life experience and philosophy.” Quietly confident and self-assured, Lundgren’s outlook aligns with the Mobilité ethos, which places equal importance on the body and the mind, with a marked emphasis on mental wellbeing. “The goal for me in life is not to win,” says Dolph Lundgren. “It’s to feel good about myself.”

The CDLP Mobilité sportswear capsule is available via the CDLP webstore
