The impact of late designer Virgil Abloh continues to be felt in the fashion industry and beyond. Now, Australia is being treated to a physical expression of Abloh’s impact in the form of an exclusive Off-White capsule collection. Not the first time Australia has been privy to an exclusive Off-White capsule, the Italian luxury fashion label founded by Abloh has been dropping pieces solely dedicated to the market down under since 2018.

The nine-piece limited-edition capsule comprises two distinct aesthetics. The first takes on the quintessential Off-White Optical Pattern, with the wavy checkerboard print applied in a gradient style, for a subtler take on classic streetwear. The latter utilises a watercolour-inspired spray design atop skater-style pieces. Overall, the capsule takes on a tone of relaxed simplicity, less busy and more easy-wearing than other Off-White drops.

The Optical Pattern pieces cater to both men and women, with t-shirts and hoodies cut from cotton alongside a short-sleeve viscose Holiday Shirt. Across both menswear and womenswear, the fit is in line with Off-White’s signature oversized style, with pieces featuring a graphic that pairs the ‘Off’ text with an illustration of a hand.

Meanwhile, the watercolour pieces hone in on menswear, with a flannel overshirt utilising a special fabric dyeing process and bearing the Off-White print on the back joining classic pieces like a cotton hoodie and t-shirt. Rounding out the collection are a baseball cap and flap bag, both in the sprayed watercolour style.

The Off-White c/o Australia Capsule collection is available at Off-White Melbourne and Sydney physical stores, as well as online at Marais.
