To continually relegate revenge dressing to an act dedicated to ex-lovers is to demean its subtle yet powerful art. The Anna Quan Resort 2022 collection appears to concur, presenting a sartorial middle finger to the past year in the form of elegant, pared-back pieces that celebrate the female form.

“The last year has been challenging for us all. The human spirit is remarkable, restrictions create boundaries, but hope always seems to ignite new ideas and aspirations,” Anna Hoang, founder and designer at Anna Quan, said reflecting on the last twelve months. “My Resort ‘22 Collection embraces a concept of ‘revenge dressing’ – an opportunity to wear all the clothes you couldn’t wear during 2020. In a sense, it’s rebellious and celebratory at the same time.”
Underpinned by the signature style of minimalism Anna Quan has become known for, the Anna Quan Resort 2022 collection utilises a muted colour palette of timeless neutrals, in the form of black, cream, and olive, with welcome pops of azure, cerulean, and daffodil making an appearance here and there.
Silky evening dresses and tunics float effortlessly between tailored pieces, with suiting taking on a sexier edge in the form of mini skirts and cinched bustier waists, playing into the revenge dressing theme. Similarly, signature Anna Quan knit dresses get the colourful treatment, appearing in azure and blush, with body-contouring twist knots and playful keyhole cutouts.
Sultry, chic, and elegant, the Anna Quan Resort 2022 collection is the understated post-2020 reemergence wardrobe dreams are made of.
