Armani Privé Fall 2021 Haute Couture proposed a refreshing return to dreamy, old-Hollywood style dressing in the form of a floaty, fairytale-like collection. Titled ‘Shine’, the collection was almost entirely in soft rainbow hues, set against the baroque backdrop of the Italian Embassy in Paris. Harking back to the glamour of the ‘50s and ‘60s the Armani Privé Fall 2021 Haute Couture seemed to perfectly embody the Armani woman; refined and elegant, sophisticated yet fun, and more than a little bourgeois.

Luminous silks and satins crafted with sharp Italian tailoring provided the ideal contrast to the arguable highlight of the collection; airlight silk organza layered using Armani’s signature filtrage technique, creating a stunning visual illusion of halos floating around the body. Vintage glitter accents, sequins, and shimmery floral embroidery further spoke to the allure of the past, while voluminous silhouettes harmonised with sleek ones.
In recalling the past, Armani Privé Fall 2021 Haute Couture is a timeless collection, designed to be worn, and more importantly; seen.
