Grönefeld brothers each design their ideal Grøne Manueel One

- Independent watchmakers Tim and Bart Grönefeld launched Grøne Oldenzaal, an accessible line of fine mechanical wristwatches, last year
- The brand fuses the attention to detail of Grönefeld watches with an affordable price tag. Now, the duo have added to the lineup, with each brother designing his perfect Manueel One, a timepiece that takes inspiration from the slightly less accessibly priced Grönefeld 1941 Principia
- The 38.5mm case features dramatically scalloped lugs and a conical crown, housing a sector dial with a brushed outer ring with diamond cut edges which surrounds a central disc with a tremblage finish
- The brothers diverge when it comes to colour; Bart’s One is bathed in salmon with blue Alpha-style hands, while Tim’s One pairs a German silver base with high-polished steel hands
- The differing colours are said to reflect the distinct identities of each brother — one “hopelessly romantic…with just a twinge of playfulness” and the other exuding “technical and scholarly sophistication”
