Harley-Davidson is celebrating 120 years at the forefront of American motorcycle design in style, with the release of six limited-edition motorcycles with commemorative paint schemes that draw inspiration from the brand’s earlier designs. The release signals the commencement of a year-long celebration of Harley-Davidson’s 120-year anniversary.

The commemorative paint scheme uses gleaming Heirloom Red as the base colour, with- panels outlined in a bright red pinstripe and filled with a darker Midnight Crimson fade. Retro accents include an art deco eagle tank medallion, Alcantara seat covers with red side panels and gold embroidered Harley-Davidson logo, and red fade powertrain inserts. The 120th-anniversary design will be offered on the following models:
- Ultra Limited Anniversary (1,300 examples)
- Tri Glide Ultra Anniversary (1,100 examples)
- Street Glide Special Anniversary (1,600 examples)
- Road Glide Special Anniversary (1,600 examples)
- Fat Boy 114 Anniversary (3,000 examples)
- Heritage Classic 114 Anniversary (1,700 examples)
A dedicated limited-edition model is also being released, with the CVO Road Glide Limited Anniversary model celebrating over a century of craftsmanship with what is, according to the brand, “one of the most intricate paint schemes ever offered by Harley-Davidson.”

In addition to the celebratory limited-edition releases, Harley-Davidson has also announced key updates to its range. The Harley-Davidson 2023 range will include a refreshed Breakout and a restyled Freewheeler, as well as a new Road Glide and Nighter Special.

The new Breakout ups the ante in the muscle department, with a Milwaukee-Eight 117 V-Twin engine. Other new features include an 18.9-litre tank topped with an extended low-profile chrome console, a taller handlebar riser to allow for improved rider reach, an abundance of chrome finishes, and glossy black aluminium wheels with machined details.
Meanwhile, the Road Glide 3 trike harnesses the benefits of three wheels, improving rider experience through wind-and-weather protection, a MOOM! Box GTS infotainment system, and an array of safety enhancements.

The new middle-weight Nightster Special motorcycle is designed to deliver thrilling performance with a tuned e Revolution Max 975T liquid-cooled V-Twin engine, which is integrated into the centre of the chassis to reduce overall vehicle weight. Finally, the Freewheeler gets a dark update for 2023, with completely blacked-out components replacing the formerly bright finishes.

The limited-edition and new models are available to explore via the Harley-Davidson website.
